Alright... I'm stumped.

Who should I have as the sixth bat pony? I'm debating on either Florence, Gloomie, Moonshine or Aux.

I'm leaning towards Gloomie. Reason for this is because Florence is probably more of a day-guard pone, and Aux doesn't seem to fit into this kind of story. And Moonshine was more of a side character to Aux's story.

What do you guys think?

Has there been any world building at all for bat pone and bat pone accessories? Like if they live in communal bat caves or medieval castles on cliff sides.
Was also thinking about how they grow their delicious mangos and other staple food items. Are they like the mighty dorfs and farm mushrooms in the caves, or do they use volcanic ash to fertilize their crops/orchards?
Trying to create some background for a few characters and wanted to see if there was any solid setting or if people just roll with it.

A grammatical wasteland where commas and apostrophes go to die. I am noticing a lot of people aren't getting the gist of black and green text. Black text should be used to denote that the main character of the story is speaking. Since Aux is apparently the one being played with, only HIS wording should be left black. Every additional voice should be in green to denote some other character is speaking. Next, combine like sentences or just write entirely in prose.

We could easily assume that there is some kind of plant in Equestria that grows large, translucent pods that are filled with blood and vampire bat ponies just live on them. They could even be small, red berries that are blood berries that are easily confused for cherries to the displeasure of fruit eating bat ponies.

There is so much room to work with in a world governed by rules of cool, Dungeons and Dragons, and magical ponies.

I think the general consensus for the holiday was that the Luna would visit Hollow Shades, where the bat ponies would throw an elaborate festival with games and parades and Chinese Lanterns and things like that. I'll probably take a little bit of inspiration from the Day of the Dead festivals when I write it though.
There was also mention that the bat ponies would present Luna with letters and gifts to show her how much they appreciate the night. I'd imagine that they started doing it sometime during the reign of Nightmare Moon, but after she was banished, they started sending the letters and gifts to Canterlot directly, where Celestia would keep them in storage for when Luna came back. I think someone actually mentioned that, though. I need to go look at the archives for all of this.

I'm gonna make you hate it on purpose then.
But for real, I started writing it and I'm already a little way in. I think it's going to be a two-part story, starting out with the history/creation of the festival, and then go into Luna getting to participate in the first festival since she returned.
So basically, Celestia stuff with a little bit of bat pony stuff, and then Luna+Bat pony stuff.
I'm already kind of teared up and I'm only about half way through the first part. The second part is going to be significantly longer than the first though.

Well, I've 100%'d the first game, third game, and fourth game, and made at least one of every class (not counting subclass combinations) with perfect builds and equipment sets. EO2 is just more difficult with that because you raise the level cap by 1 every time you retire at the current max level. So it takes a long fucking time to get everyone maxed out. And there are 10 classes in the game.

Basically, Speck and Aux are the only ones explicitly stated to only eat Fruit. Orchid eats fish, and Hekesuh eats bugs. I'm sure it's safe to assume all of the others drink blood. Lost in the Dark? I think that would best stay as a short. I've told the story I wanted to, and going further, I'd only imagine a sort of romance-focused story, and that isn't exactly my forte. Maybe, though. It's not like I haven't tried romance. I think it's more likely I'll write another short, if you guys would like that. I do find the bat pones interesting for some reason I can't really pinpoint myself, and I can imagine a few instances where they'd be fun to write about. I'd need to start lurking again, though, but I don't have a problem with that at all. Hell, I'll start now.

Pic semi-related. It's the stats on part one of the Merry Moon Memorial story. It's... almost done. I think.
But I don't think I'll start dumping it until the whole thing's done, and at this rate it's definitely looking like part 2 will be about twice as long as part 1, since Part 2 is going to be the actual festival, and part 1 is just kind of an origin story to Hollow Shades' founding, the beginnings of the festival, and a little bit of my headcanon on how the bat ponies came to be.

If you had to pick ten of the thread's bats, which ones would you MOST like to see interact with Luna at the festival?
Sunshine Smiles, Meadowlark Frolicsome, Echo, Midnight Blossom, and Mosina are already decided on.
I'll pick the top five out of what everyone lists and add them onto the five mentioned.
If I come up with any more scenes, I'll include the next most-voted.

Hell, it might even be better to forgo anything major with any of them and just continue normally while Borealis explores Hollow Shades.

Look at this drawing (I didn't deleted the guide lines, neither the base circle/oval). It's not like I'm wanting you to draw like me, but normally left/right side of the head of humans tend to be circular, while the front, upside, downside and back are more like ovals.
